Amazing location, cozy, clean and quiet. Very welcoming and helpful hosts who live nearby. Enjoyed swimming in the very warm lake, watching the fish from the dock, kayaking (kayaks available), hammocking, bbqing, games, satellite TV, sitting on the deck, playing classic board games, and cooking in the well anointed kitchen. Nearby towns include Kingston, Westport and Gananoque. There are nearby stores. Kayaking to a nearby Rideau canal lock was a highlight.

Beautiful interior with all amenities (I.e. big-screen tv, washer, dryer, microwave, dishwasher). There is a closed-in mud room, ideal for storing coolers and suitcases while not in use. The outside deck overlooks the lake with sunshade umbrella, Adirondack chairs and gas bbq.
The dock is close at hand with plastic edging that act as bumpers to protect the boats.
Overall everything is in excellent condition and immaculately clean. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy natural beauty.

We were looking for a place to connect with friends between Toronto and Montreal this summer. When we arrived to the cottage we were so impressed with the property! It was beautifully maintained and secluded, just what we wanted. Heading into the cottage was just as impressive, well equipped, clean, cozy and a perfect layout for indoor and outdoor dining. Just adorable! Cranberry lake was one of the most peaceful lakes we have visited, our days were spent on the canoe and kayaks that were supplied and just hanging around on the dock. Evenings were around a well placed fire pit on the property with no shortage of wood for us! We truly had everything we needed. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, this is the place! We loved it so much went back in October to see the fall colors. Simply another spectacular stay! Jennie is truly an amazing host and you can feel the warmth and kindness when you speak with her. Looking forward to a future visit next summer.

My husband and I wanted a nice, private and quiet cottage to getaway to in the summer, a respite from the on-again-off-again shutdown routines of Covid. The cottage at Cranberry Lake answered all of our requirements, and then some. On entering the cottage, I was speechless as I looked over the balcony onto the lake, a view of the dock and the fire pit close by and surrounded by an endless forest of blissful privacy. The cottage is well appointed and spotless - a perfect place to get away from it all. We kayaked, swam and watched the swans and loons in the lake and the pileated woodpeckers on the walking trails. The days drifted by as we read, played checkers and board games, enjoyed the barbecue and relaxed deep into our bones. Would we go back? In a heartbeat. I miss it already and look forward to going back next year. Special thanks to Jennie and Tony, the hosts with the mosts, always at the ready to help but never interfering when not needed. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Our family of 4 (adult children) loved staying at this beautifully rustic cottage that had all the creature comforts. Having a dishwasher, a gas fireplace (cozy!) and a fantastic kitchen and bath while being so immersed in nature was amazing. There is so much wildlife! Every day we saw turtles, chipmunks, swans and loons, just to name a few. The property is large and gorgeous with so many private spots to hang out and enjoy the view of the lake in a hammock or Adirondack chair. Our fabulous and attentive hosts provided kayaks for tooling around the lake. There is lots to explore on the lake, but we mostly spent time discovering the islands close to the cottage. There are also two kilometers of trails on the property and we really enjoyed taking bonafide walks in the woods. Finally, the pièces de résistance were the astounding sunsets, night after night? just incredible. We really enjoyed our time at Cranberry Lake and would not hesitate for a second to recommend this cottage or these hosts for your next getaway.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The cottage is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom are newly renovated. The grounds are magical, with a walking trail maintained by the owners, through hardwood forest, isolated from traffic noise and airline traffic.
There are geese and swans out on the lake. The view of sunset from the deck is beautiful and peaceful.
The kitchen is well-equipped for making meals.
Our visit was in the peak time of leaf colour which made the forest walks very memorable.
This cottage experience is well worth booking at any time of year.

I wanted time with my daughter. I wanted a place without 'Shopping' on the agenda. I wanted peace but not a tent in middle of the woods with pack sack! I was looking for four walls, somewhere to cook inside away from sniffing bears and a hot shower please :-) What I wasn't prepared to find was a 5-Star little jewel and not too far from squealing tires. Such a beautiful place. Everything anyone wants from their home-home, is at this cottage and more. The more being the owners attention to detail, the warm welcome and the constant presence if you should require anything from them. These people are welcoming and rare to find! I have been to 5 star hotels in my life and this lovely couple found a way to Smushed luxury in a quiet and comfortable setting. I will return one day and I believe the fish that got off my lure wants me to come back!! lol

Like many others, Covid changed our plans this year and we were scrambling to find a vacation option for our family. We are typical resort vacationers but we were thankful to have found this space.
WOW, from the first day we arrived until driving off the property to go home, we were so impressed with this place. When we pulled in, 2 deer greeted us like a welcoming committee. We walked down down to the dock and knew then that we were in for a great week.
The cottage itself has all the comforts of home. The kitchen is amazing, the screened porch is perfect for board games, eating outside or doing a puzzle. The lake, privacy, views and nature are all spectacular. We spent most days on the water kayaking, canoeing, swimming, fishing and exploring the little islands all around the lake. My teenage sons LOVED it. We play tennis and our hosts recommended some courts about 12 minutes away. Kingston is close so that made finding restaurants, shopping and groceries a breeze. The cottage also has satellite TV so we didn't miss any playoff games at night. My sons loved that too.
The owners are very courteous, communicate quickly and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and cared for. It's refreshing to not only stay at a gem of a spot, but to also have hospitable hosts encouraging you to enjoy their space.
We LOVED this vacation and would highly recommend it to anyone considering it as a vacation spot for some rest and family time.

My husband and I and our three children just spent a wonderful, relaxing two weeks at this cottage.
Not only was it extremely peaceful and secluded, it also had all the creature comforts of home that made vacationing with young children that much easier and enjoyable.
We spent our entire days down by the lake which was great to swim in and very quiet. The dock was a great place to lounge with some comfortable Adirondack chairs and it offered some spectacular sunsets and a great opportunity to see some swans, loons, common terns and blue herons.
There are kayaks and a canoe to be used which we also enjoyed as we explored more of the lake and the little surrounding islands.
There is a great designated area with a fire pit that we also used to have some fun evening campfires as well.
The owners were friendly and welcoming, the cottage was very neat and tidy, the beds were all nice and comfortable and the deck offered a scenic view with comfortable chairs and a great barbecue.
It is a gorgeous property that is well cared for and maintained and I think anyone would have a wonderful experience here during their getaway.

My teenage children and I have just returned from a wonderful week at Cranberry Lake. The cottage was as beautiful as in its listing pictures and super clean. The kitchen and bathroom were newly renovated and there was comfortable furniture in every room. The breezy screened in porch was perfect to sit in when the weather became hot, and there was a deck with a beautiful view of the lake. The owners were friendly and provided everything we needed from welcome snacks, games and puzzle books to wood for the firepit. The view of the lake was spectacular and we enjoyed swimming every day. The highlight for us was the cottage's private location and the peace and tranquility we enjoyed there. It was not uncommon to go kayaking or swimming without seeing or hearing anyone, and there was minimal boat traffic on the lake. Wildlife was everywhere and we enjoyed sightings of swans and loons on the water, as well as wild turkeys and deer in nearby farmer's fields. And all of this was within a 20 minute drive of Kingston, where we went on one of several day trips. We heartily recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a quiet escape from the city and hope to return ourselves in the near future.

We stayed at this beautiful cottage for the second time July 2019. After our first visit 3 years ago we knew we would have a hard time renting anything else as this beautiful place far exceeds any other.
The cottage itself is impeccably clean, welcoming and has all the modern amenities you will need to make your stay comfortable. It is set amongst beautiful mature trees and breathtaking lake views from the deck, main living area and master bedroom. This cottage is clearly maintained with pride and quality. The lovely kitchen and main living area is spacious, comfortable and decorated with a rustic country retreat feel.
The scenery from the dock makes you feel as though you have the lake to yourself as there is not another cottage in sight. We enjoyed the sounds of the loons and the views of the swans every evening at sunset.
As a family that enjoys spending time on the water we were pleasantly surprised at how warm the lake was for swimming in early July. We spent hours exploring the islands and peaceful shorelines in the canoe and 2 kayaks (my favourite part!).
My husband enjoyed fishing right from the dock and was successful catching several bass.
Because this cottage is only 20 mins from Kingston and the 1000 islands there are plenty of activities to do if staying on the lake for a full week is not for you.
We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful, beautiful retreat with views that are beyond compare!
